The Permanent Jewelry Guide is a directory of permanent jewelry studios. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any studio, brand, or equipment manufacturer named on this site. Business names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners.

Listings may be out of date

Listings are compiled from public sources and from studios' own websites on the date shown on each listing. Small businesses change their prices, hours, chain selection and address without telling us, and some close. We do not warrant that any of the following is accurate, complete or current:

  • Prices, including per-inch rates and any minimum or welding fee;
  • The metals or chain styles a studio stocks;
  • Opening hours, walk-in availability, or how far in advance to book;
  • Whether a studio still offers permanent jewelry at all;
  • Addresses, phone numbers and booking links.

Confirm anything that matters directly with the studio before you travel, and confirm the total price before they cut the chain. What we did and did not check.

Not safety, medical or legal advice

Our guides are general information written for a general audience. They are not medical advice, and they are not a substitute for asking the people who are qualified to answer. In particular:

  • If you have a metal allergy, a medical implant or device, or any skin condition, speak to your doctor or the studio before being welded.
  • If you have a scan, an operation or any hospital procedure coming up, follow the instructions your provider gives you about jewelry — not ours.
  • The studio-owner section discusses equipment, insurance and business registration in general terms. It is not legal, tax, insurance or safety advice, requirements differ by state and city, and you should take professional advice for your own situation.
  • We have not tested any welding equipment. We do not publish specifications or prices we cannot verify, and nothing in that section should be read as a safety certification.

Your experience at a studio

We have no involvement in any transaction between you and a studio. We do not take bookings, handle payments, or vet workmanship. Anything that happens at an appointment is between you and that business, and we accept no liability for it.

Advertising and affiliate links

Some studios pay for a labelled Featured placement. That placement never changes the order of the main list on a page, and it is always marked.

Some pages, mainly in the studio-owner section, contain affiliate links. If you buy through one we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Those pages carry a disclosure at the top, and the links are marked. It never affects whether or how a studio is listed.
